Max & Me is an animated movie, which tells the true story of Polish priest Maximilian Kolbe and the incredible challenges he faced through the Nazi invasion of Poland during World War II.

Kolbe was punished for providing help and protection to Jews during Nazi persecution, being sent to Auschwitz, a Nazi concentration Camp. As his ultimate sacrifice, he volunteered to switch places with a stranger, who was distressed for his wife and children, dying instead.

The story unfolds through a present-day encounter of an older man, Gunther, and a rebellious teenager, DJ, as the story of Father Max teaches the young boy about love and sacrifice.
